IO1 is a curriculum addressed to VET Trainers. It contains the information necessary for enabling a VET Trainer to teach trainees on Cultural Literacy and its role in the smooth integration of immigrants and refugees in the diverse societies of EU. The curriculum contains the background/history for Cultural Literacy, the concept of Cultural Literacy and how this is implemented in educational settings, how the new challenges EU faces nowadays due to the increased numbers of immigrants and refugees in its societies resulted in the need to educate in order to respond to these challenges.

VET Trainer Pedagogical Handbook on Cultural Literacy aims to provide in depth information, basic concepts, definitions and innovative methodological approaches regarding Cultural literacy and its role in the smooth integration of immigrants and refugees in the diverse societies of EU. This product is developed on the basis of the theoretical framework and competencies identified within the Intellectual Output 1.

The aim of this output is to create an innovative online educational game (Serious Game) in order to advance the skills, promote and motivate in a playful manner the learners for developing their knowledge, skills and competences on Cultural Literacy, achieving the greatest positive impact, through the use of ICT game-based environment.
